DESCRIPTION:Presentation\nWe will walk all the 80 km (50 miles) of the Lattari Mountains Chain\, numbered with 300 CAI and part of the famous Italia Trail.\nWe will start from Corpo di Cava dei Tirreni in the Province of Salerno passing through the whole Sorrento/Amalfi Peninsula\, until Massalubrense Termini\, in front of Capri\, in the Province of Naples.\nWe will always stay on the ridge descending to the valley only for overnight stays and dinners.\nWe will admire from above the villages of the two coasts as well as the Gulfs of Naples and Salerno\, until their ends (Cilento and Campi Flegrei).\nThe views will include the islands of Capri\, Ischia and Procida\, as well as the Terranian sea we will always have in front of us and which\, at sunset\, will offer us suggestive views.\nThe route is divided in 6 stages\, each one about 14 km (8\,6 miles)\, with an elevation gain of 1000m (3\,200 feet) and 8h duration (including stops).\nThe difficulty will be mainly E (moderate)\, with short EE stretch (challenging).\nWe will sleep in small hotels or B&Bs and have dinner in local trattorie. We will have a luggage trasportation service. \nProgram\nDAY 1 – SATURDAY 22 AUGUST\nArrival in Salerno and presentation of the trek\nWe will meet in Salerno where it is possible to arrive by plane or by train.\nOnce settled into the rooms\, we’ll meet for the presentation of the trek and to have the dinner. \nDAY 2 – SUNDAY 23 AUGUST\nStage 1/6\nFrom Cava dei Tirreni Corpo di Cava (350m-1148ft) to Tramonti Gete (360m-1181ft)\nLength 16km-9\,94miles; ascent 1150m-3772feet; descent 1140m-3740feet; duration 9h; moving 6h30; highest point 1014m-3326feet; lowest point 335m-1099feet; difficulty E (moderate) with short EE (challenging); paths 300\, 309 and 310; packed lunch; water points at the beginning and end of the trek\, the others uncertain\, at least 3lt of water are needed.\nA private bus will take us to Corpo di Cava\, at the starting point of the trek.
